Cedric Van Dijck
Cedric Van Dijck is an assistant professor of English Literature at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the principal investigator on the AFROPRESS project. His research on the project is especially interested in the global ambitions of South Africa’s little magazines, from Voorslag (1926–27) to the New African (1962–) and beyond.
He is the author of Modernism, Material Culture and the First World War (2023), and a co-editor of The Edinburgh Companion to First World War Periodicals (2023) and The Intellectual Response to the First World War (2017). He is also an elected member of the Flemish Young Academy and serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of European Periodical Studies.
